Assoc. Professor Danny Tucker
Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Background

Originally from Adelaide, Danny completed medical training at King’s College, London, then trained as a specialist and was employed at the University of Oxford and John Radcliffe Hospital. He moved to Queensland in 2008 and was Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Townsville University Hospital for five years, Director of Training and most recently Divisional Medical Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, including O&G, Maternal Fetal-Medicine and Neonatology.

Danny holds an academic position at James Cook University and is passionate about improving public access and quality of care for women.

Danny is an Associate Fellow of RACMA, having undertaken leadership training with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
